A 27-year-old adult child of an AAA policyholder hit my car in Dallas, Texas. The adult child didn't have a valid license or a hard copy of the insurance policy.

She also tried to hit and run and only pulled over after I laid on the horn. I was in the far left lane and this entitled driver who is on mom and pop's coverage tried to pass me and clipped my right bumper. She told AAA Texas that I was in her lane. No, I was in my lane, and she misjudged passing me and clipped my bumper.

I am a working mother who pays for her own policy. My mom and dad don't pay for my policy. The claims rep assigned to my claim has not communicated with me. Her boss also refuses to return calls.

After numerous attempts to follow up with the claims rep and her boss and finally escalating it to social media, the claims rep emailed me and said she had closed the investigation and that they would not be paying to fix my car. So, to recap, AAA Texas has NOT come to assess the physical damage to my car and are going by the word of a 27-year-old person who cannot pay for her own insurance. Meanwhile, the working mother who does pay for her own insurance is busy trying to transport children and care for senior parents in a wrecked vehicle. The claims rep said someone would come assess my car, and I expect that to happen because it was promised and because that's what you do when a policyholder hits another person's car.

Timeline: accident occurred Nov. 4, 2021; notified Jan. 6, 2022 that the investigation was closed.

No claims adjuster came to look at my vehicle. Passive aggressive communication; lack of communication; there is a Facebook page for people who complain about AAA service.

User's recommendation: You will have to follow up with AAA -- they will not communicate with you.

Monetary Loss: $2.

Preferred solution: A claims adjuster to come look at my vehicle and for AAA to pay to fix the damage to my car. I am not at fault for this accident. .

American Automobile Association Cons: Poor communication, Passive aggressive communication, Voicemail says calls will be returned -- calls not returned, Does not send adjuster to look at vehicle damage, Closes claims investigation without looking at damage.

Location: Frisco, Texas
